In 1988 de director of the Stedelijk Museum Schiedam, Hans Paalman, organized a large overview exhibition with works from all six islands of the Netherlands Antilles; Aruba, Bonaire, Curaçao, Sint Maarten, Saba and Sint Eustatius.

It was the first important exhibition outside Curaçao for which I was selected; I showed a series of photographs.

Queen Beatrix was the first visitor, she also attended the opening reception.
