Looking for Red 2011

In contrast to the quiet, abstract, cool, “Water” series, I looked for something warm, loud and energetic. The title “Looking for red” describes what this series is all about. In Curacao, Aruba, Bonaire, Saint Maarten and Amsterdam, I searched for anything I found intriguing, as long as it was red. Red is my favorite color and it is a symbol of strength, warmth and passion, the color of love, cohesion, energy and movement. Photographs from this series of 20 were used for the VanEps Kunneman VanDoorne calendar 2012.
