Clean & Fresh 2012

For the third calendar commissioned by law firm VanEps Kunneman VanDoorne, I choose to take photographs of laundry. In economically highly developed societies people have washer-dryers or they bring the laundry to the launderette. In the underdeveloped Caribbean islands you see laundry drying everywhere on everything, especially in the weekends, when the women have time for their own households. Behind many of the picturesque photos is a sad story.
